The Julie Ditty Qualls Foundation, Inc. is offering Free Tennis Lessons for children and teenagers from 8-18 years from June 5th - June 16th, 2023 9-11 AM Monday through Friday. Age groups from 8-12 year olds at 9 AM and 12-18 year old from 10-11 AM. The registration and waiver form is attached to this e-mail. Registration forms are available at the Ashland Tennis Center. These are the 4th Annual Julie Ditty Qualls Free Tennis Lessons at the Ashland Tennis Center. Julie began giving free lessons after she retired from the professional tennis tour. The Blood Drive has started and we have a few donors already giving the gift of life: Mrs. Distel, Mrs. Ginn, and Mr. Rapp! Please consider coming to PWHS gym by 1:30 to donate blood today! If we get 30 donors we will earn a scholarship for one of our seniors!

Senior Reminder (those at PWHS and SCCTC): Please keep checking your email for important info and updates. One upcoming deadline is for the senior slideshow/video. If you'd like to be included the deadline to submit pictures is 5/5. Mrs. Copley will accept pictures through this weekend (through 5/7 digitally), but any sent after this cannot be guaranteed to be included. Student-athletes participating 2023-2024 school year: You may get a free physical May 1- May 31 through SOMC Sports Motion at any of the facilities shown on the flyer. When you go for the physical: » Student-athlete MUST have OHSAA Form filled out when they arrive. The student-athlete is responsible for getting the form to the school’s administration. Congratulations to the Media Class and Mr. Howard. On Friday, they competed in the OU Southern EMPIXX competition. They submitted four entries and placed in three of them. West Media finished with a first-place award in both Podcasting and Video Commercial while receiving a second-place award for Photography.

Seniors, It’s that time! Graduation is around the corner, and I’d like to create a slideshow to run the hour before the ceremony starts (since graduation is outside, this may pose a problem of it running on a screen. If so, there will be a YouTube video that I will post on the website). The slideshow will have the theme of “then and now,” and, thus, we will need a baby (birth to age 4ish) picture and a current picture (one baby, one current). They can be either digital files (jpg, jpeg, png… NO HEIC files or Google docs) or printed pictures or a combination of both. Send digital files to kristie.copley@westsenators.org and print photos to Mrs. Copley, PWHS librarian.
