Portsmouth West High School football team recently concluded their annual canned food drive and brought in over 400 items to be donated to the less fortunate in the community.
This was the fourth year Coach Ben Johnson tasked his players with collecting the nonperishable food items to ensure all families in the community are able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.
Players stepped up to the challenge and realized the importance of community service. “ I feel it was a very good way to help out our community,” stated Junior Isaiah Norman.
