Donald Staggs inducted into 2014 Hall of Fame

Former West coach and teacher, Donald Staggs, is the 2014 Hall of Fame Inductee. From 1954-1962, he worked with the Senator football team, first as an assistant coach under coach Monk Everling and then as head coach from 1960 through 1962.

A 1949 graduate of Portsmouth West, Donald received a scholarship to Cedarville College. He excelled as both a player and leader in his role of team captain of the Cedarville football team. After graduation, Donald served in the US Navy before returning to West in 1955. Donald touched tht lives of many children and community members in his time at West. He served the district as teacher and coach, principal and superintendent until his retirement in 1994. Donald gave both knowledge and guidance, influencing many young people during his distinguished career.
